Georgia 'Dawgs Slim-Fit Joggers

The phrase first surfaced in the 1970’s, especially through the 1978 season, when Georgia Football pulled off several come-from-behind wins. In 1980, the phrase gained national attention when Georgia beat Notre Dame to become National Champions. A major wire service used the phrase in its story about the big win, and newspapers nationwide roared, “How ‘Bout Them Dawgs!”
