Pitt Growling Panthers Joggers

The hyper-realistic growling panther came about in the late 1970’s and stuck around through the ‘80s. The panther has been Pitt’s mascot since 1909, when students and alumni chose it for its uniqueness at the time relative to other universities, and its relationship to the Allegheny region.
